Executive Committee

Jeremy Foo

Jeremy has been one of our board directors since 2017, and assists with IG’s publicity and overseas humanitarian program. He has founded and currently runs his own public relations consultancy which has branches in both Singapore and Malaysia. Jeremy is a proud father of a toddler-aged daughter, and likes to travel and taste culinary delights.

Sharmini Thiagarajan

Sharmini was part of the founding team of IG in 2013 and is one of our board directors who heads up the Youth Mentoring Program. Her current full-time job is a medical doctor at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth. She recently gained entry into a paediatric training program which she is thrilled to embark on. In her free time Sharmini enjoys baking, hiking and travelling.

Francis Yap

Francis was one of the founding members of IG in 2013 and is one of our board directors. He graduated as a doctor in 2014 and has been practicing medicine since then. He is currently a registrar in anatomical pathology training. Francis is happily married with a young son and always enjoys a good book.

 

Shannon Tan

Shannon (Shuang) has been a board director with IG since 2017 and acts as the charity secretary. She graduated from law school in 2012 and practiced as a lawyer for 5 years. She is now a mother of a young son and enjoys travelling and reading.

Joash Foo

Joash was one of the founding members of IG in 2013 and currently acts as the chairperson for the IG board. He graduated from medical school in 2015 and is now practicing as a rural doctor in Western Australia. Joash is happily married and has a toddler-aged son. He likes a good run, enjoys playing the piano, and loves bubble tea.

Matthew Tang

Matt is the treasurer on the IG executive committee. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and is currently working as an Analyst in BDO Corporate Finance, engaging businesses of all types from large corporates to family-owned companies. Matt enjoys Sports, Hiking and Music.

Our Team

Anna Watts

Senior Charity Officer

Anna oversees IG’s Crisis Home Support program and is the charity’s liaison with external organizations and community members. She was a family lawyer/mediator for a number of years before she had children. In 2020 she returned to work and spent six months volunteering in Disability before joining IG in 2021. Anna enjoys talking to people and learning from them, reading non-fiction, listening to music and travelling.

Dino Lim

Charity Development Officer

Dino has worked for IG since 2020. He is a key leader in the Crisis Home Support Program and also helps in publicity and administration. He graduated with an undergraduate degree in Architecture from Curtin and is now undertaking his Masters in Counselling with the University of Notre Dame. While studying in Curtin he was President of the University Club “Asia”. He likes photography and playing sport.

Neneh Fitzmaurice

Charity Development Officer

Neneh started working for IG in 2021. She handles various aspects of the charity including administration, youth mentoring and fundraising. She has a Bachelors degree in Anthropology and Sociology and recently completed a Grad. Cert. in International and Community Development. In December 2020 she moved to Melbourne and is loving it. In her spare time Neneh enjoys cooking, reading and trying to find a beach that is half as good as the ones in Perth. 

Callan Lavery

Volunteer Officer

Callan has volunteered with IG for about a year and is a key leader in the Crisis Home Support program. He completed a degree in psychology last year, and is now undertaking a masters of research. He plans to do a Master in biostatistics in 2022. Callan enjoys food, reading, and seeing friends.

 

Meagan Chong

Volunteer Officer

Meagan sits on multiple committees in IG including youth mentoring, publicity and our University of Western Australia (UWA)branch. She graduated last year with a double major in Microbiology and Pathology at UWA. She is currently trying to enter medical school and working part-time. Megan enjoys reading, exploring new restaurants and trying different cuisines. 

Tariq Musson

Volunteer Officer

Tariq assists in various departments including Crisis Home Support and publicity. He was born in South Africa and moved to Perth about 14 years ago. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor in Education at Edith Cowan University (ECU), whilst working. In his spare time, Tariq enjoys golf, basketball and the gym.

Matthew Jung

Volunteer Officer

Matt sits on a number of committees in IG including Crisis Home Support and Youth mentoring. He studied a Bachelor of Neuroscience and Graduate Diploma in Divinity/ Theology, and now works as a Youth Leader, whilst studying for a Masters of Counselling at Notre Dame. Matt’s favourite hobby is playing board games and making games!
