 In Community

  • Crisis Home Support Volunteer

Be part of a team of volunteers that provide practical support to vulnerable groups in times of crisis. Typical jobs include decluttering or maintaining a backyard - tasks which the ordinary person can do. Beyond this we also seek to relationally connect with the people we help and provide emotional support. Volunteers are always sent out in groups to increase the support and fun!

Learn more about Why the Crisis Home Support Program matters HERE.

Pre-requisites: Anyone 18 years old or above, a willingness to serve and a cheerful smile! No prior qualification or skill-set is required to be a volunteer. Volunteers who are physically unable to carry out tasks can still be involved in the important role of social interaction

  • Youth Mentoring

The Imagine Youth Mentoring program works to facilitate integration of CaLD youth in Australian society and promote their mental resilience. A youth mentor in this program will undergo training, be connected to a high-school aged youth and required conduct mentoring sessions every 2-3 weekly. All applicants will go through an interview process and also need a Police Check and Working With Children Children before they can enter the program - costs will be subsidised for these checks. The next round of program is in January 2022.

Learn about more about this program in a dedicated website.

Prerequisites include: University student OR graduate, able to commit up to 7 months to mentoring (one mentoring session every 2-3 weeks), and demonstrate evidence of passion and past work with young people.

  • Homeless Outreach

This is a university focused program in partnership with the GP charity ‘Homeless Healthcare’, where medical or health science-related students are trained to be homeless outreach workers. They are then allocated to homeless drop-in centres to establish relationships that improve the general well-being and mental health of the homeless clients.

This program has been paused since the start of COVID-19 but we are looking to re-open this in the near future. Express your interest today!

  • Join our University Committee

Are you a university student? Imagine Global has links at Curtin & UWA (Uni. of Western Australia) where we invite students to join us in advocating for the disadvantaged and starting a revolution of kindness. Please get in touch as well if Imagine Global is not in your university but you are interested to start a branch.

    Opportunities include:

    • Leadership development: Executive committee positions to coordinate and lead activities, recruit and head volunteer teams.

    • Community services: Students are invited to join one of our 4 volunteer programmes

    • Fundraising and advocacy: Students will have a chance to organise fundraising events to raise awareness of our community programmes.

  • Partnering with your organization

We love finding ways to work with people and organizations who believe in our cause and want to give-back to the community. Whether it’s working with our university branches, involving your company’s staff in our programs, or helping us with fundraising, we’d love to hear more.

  • Volunteer Recognition Program

We have signed-up close to 300 volunteers, with constant ongoing recruitment. Amazingly they come from all walks of life including accountants, university students, health professionals, housewives and church organizations!

In celebration of every volunteer, we have put together a volunteer recognition system called “LOVE WINS”. Volunteers can now record their hours of community service done with Imagine Global activities and programs. They may have them officially recognized on transcript for their resumes and job applications. Plus, they can earn various merchandise including T-shirts and stationery along the way
